Being mean

In my childhood, I was mean to my little brother. This was when I was about 7 years old. I didn't want to play toys or go outside with him. I was always annoyed. I love him with all my heart but he annoyed me. I used to yell at him for no reason. Sometimes he would feel bad and wouldn't talk to me as much. I would tell my parents that he would bother me and they would tell him him to leave me alone. Things between me and him were harsh but as we were growing up we became closer. I stopped yelling at him to the point where he gets completely quiet. He still annoys me at times but its not that bad. I like how he annoys me now. We get along even though he would bother me a lot and I would get mad at him to the point that I start yelling at him. My brother and I are best friends. He is my other half without him annoying me at times my life would be boring. When he does this it makes me laugh because it's funny. He would sometimes say "I'm sorry for annoying you I didn't mean to." and I would accept his apology. He didn't deserve to be treated that way.

When I look back at my childhood I feel bad because he was intravert at times. I wouldn't want him to become like this because his life would of been bad.He wouldn't be able to become a social person. Now that he is getting older things have changed because I stopped being mean to him how I was back than. My brother means the world to me. He knows when and how to annoy me but also knows when it's time to stop. I'm glad that he is not intravert because if he was I would of took the blame.

I think people are mean to others because they want to be mean for the fun of it or they take out their anger on other people that don't deserve it to feel better. Doodle's brother was mean to him probably because he's the only person he can pick on and be mean to or take out his anger on him to make himself better. Doodle shouldn't be mean because he didn't do anything wrong to him. Nobody can control anyone on how they are mean.

Today I'm feeling awful but ok at the same time. Something that bothers me right now and it will always bother me is how family always talks down at someone. I understand that there has to be problems at times but why hate others for a long time. Why do people have to talk so much about others?Why can't there be peace and happiness? Why can't everyone just get along? Some think that they are better then others and its not like that because no one is perfect. No one will understand that. They don't know that they are affecting others, for instance when there used to be family reunions it was fun and everything, now there is nothing. No one does or make any plans to get all the family together. Hoping that things would get better in the family but its not happening, and it never will but maybe in the future family things will get better.

Second thing, is that when a guy has feelings for girl number 1 and says I love you and all these things and he talks to girl number 2. He swares on everything that the girl number 1 is his other half, that she means the world to him, and that she is the only girl for him. It doesn't make sense to say all cute things to girl number 1 and then turn his back and talks to girl number 2. The guy does these things but he always say to girl number 1 he doesn't want to lose her. He says he is sore of talking to girl number 2 but not really but that stuff went down but he tells girl number 1 that he doesnt want to tell her because he doesnt want to hurt her.It's obvious if he doesn' tell her its going to bother her and its gonna make her think a lot of negative things about him. It just doesn't make sense if a guy has feelings for girl number 1 and says all these things. The guy should keep his word and control himself in any situtation. If a guy wants to be with a girl then be with her and commit to the relationship don't act stupid or irresponsible. He needs to tell girl number 2 or other girls that he can't have nothing because he cares and feels for girl number 1. Another thing is how hard is it to call her and ask how she's doing or just to say hi? It doesn't take years to do that. If you truly care for someone show that you care for that person instead of her thinking all types of things. Guys are jerks but theres always one guy out there thats willing to treat her right. He needs to open his eyes and realize what he has because other girls are not gonna treat him better. If he doesn't see that,then girl number 1 is not going to put up no more with it and let him go.

Job Seeking Skills.

The job that I hope to have when I'm at least at my 20's is nursing. I like to help people and kids. I care how the people feel and I want people to be safe and cured. This would be a good fit for me because it would help me out later in the future because I would either work at a clinic, at home or at the hospital.

1.) Advising people- As a nurse, I would give them advise if they have something wrong. I would do my best to help them out.

2.)Finding Information- Patients can tell me any symptoms or problems they have and I can list them.

3.) Interpreting languages- I speak english and spanish so I would be able to translate if necessary. They won't worry about about speaking to a person who speaks english and the patient only speaks spanish.

4.) Listening to others- I would listen to what they have to say. Listen to ideas,plans or problems.

5.) Developing a climate of enthusiasm, teamwork, and cooperation- I would want to make the patients and other co-workers feel comfortable. I would make sure they are smiling and happy. I won't put down no one.

6.) Organizing Tasks- I would have to organize what needs to be done. Making sure everything is correct.

7.) Meeting new people- I would have to meet new people every time whether its walk-in or over the telephone. I will get to know that person every time he or she comes for a visit.

8.) Motivating others- There can be problems where the patient feels morose or anything of that nature, I will try keep them motivating; not to give up.

9.) Reporting Information- As a nurse, if there is any problems with the patient I can notify the doctor and let he or she know whats wrong.

10.) Defining a problem- I would have to detect if there is anything wrong with the patient such as heart rate, blood pressure,weight and other things.

11.)Maintaining Accurate Records- I would have to maintain every patients record in order make sure I would have some background information about the patient.

12.) Updating Files- If the patient needs to come in because they are due for a check-up, or anything of that nature I would have to call them to schedule an appointment so I would have their files update.

13.) Sketching charts and diagrams- I would have to help the doctor do charts or diagrams for the patient on how they are.

14.) Writing Reports- If something happens to the patient, there is a report that needs to be made. If it's an emergency, they need to be sent to a hospital with a report from the doctor. Also, keeping information about medicines that are being taken.

15.) Classifying Records- I would have to make sure that their records are right that there is no other information but the patient.

16.) Proposing new ideas- There can be other safe ideas for patients to try.

17.) Investigating problems- There can be a problem that I as a nurse would have to investigate with the doctor.

18.)Organizing Files- I would have to make sure their files are neat and that nothing is misplaced or misunderstood.

19.) Comparing Results- If the patient has records of how the patient is, I would want to tell the patient about his or her results from back than and now.

20.) Making Decisions- I would have to come to a decision with the patient if anything. I would have to tell them the disavantages and advantages.

Invading Privacy.

I believe that parents invading their children's privacy shouldn't happen.
Everyone has their right towards their privacy. Kids get bothered because their parents
go through thier personal things. If you have trust with your parents then, it shouldn't happen.
If something bad happens or they feel uncomfortable about something then. they will go and tell them. This is better than their parents finding out. For example, a friend of mine doesn't like when her mom goes through her personal belongings or anything of that nature. She told her it's bad because it invading her privacy. If we don't go through our parents privacy,then they shouldn't go through ours. I understand that we go by their rules because they are older than us, but it has its limit. They can't invade our privacy everyday, that can't happen. We will feel umcomfortable if they invade our privacy.

Capital and Corporal Punishment

The United States executes criminals all the time. Capital and Corporal punishment would work. I believe this because these are criminals who do wrong to other people. People in this world get chances to change but if they don't do it, then why continue the crime. We don't need other people torturing the rest of the world. Criminals deserve this, not only because they commited a crime, but its because we dont want violence to continue around the world. In today's world, there are many crimes committed, people getting arrested, and criminals that get death sentence. We may live in a world that has peace and freedom, but to think about not everything is peace. People worry about their own lives.Criminals deserve to be punished.This is why I think Capital and Corporal punishment would work.

My favorite scene from The Odyssey is in the very beginning when Odysseus leaves. His wife Penelope and his son telemachus are left alone back home. He left Ithaca to fight at Troy. Odysseus sat on the rock and he was crying because he missed his family. He knew it was hard for him but he kept thinking about him. Odysseus fighted for 20 years. During those years people told her that he was dead. Odysseus fought against other people, basically his life was always in danger. In the end, he fought the suitors because he herd that someone was going to become Penelope's husband. In order for this to happen Penelope made a contest where they had to shoot in Odysseus house. Odysseus put a stop to it by shooting and thats when Penelope realized it was him. my town its not worth fighting for M.V.

What my neighborhood looks like, it's really quiet and there is barely no cars that drive around the block. I think my town is not worth fighting for because it's doesn't have anything that is dangerous.My neighborhood has no people who walk around. If something bad happened to our house,then it would be fighting for because we live in it. In my opinion, I don't think we should make things better at home. As long as we are safe,than there would be nothing wrong. My neighborhood is a nice place and very comfortable to live in. It all depends on the person how they are. There are people like that in this world that would do anything for their town to make it safe.

Odysseus is a good leader. Melissa Vargas

I believe Odysseus is a good leader because he never let his men down. He set instructions to them and they listened at times. His men were stubborn nd curious. Odysseus thought of the trojan horse idea. This was a trick to the greeks. They celebrated and got drunk,thats when Odysseus and his men killed all the greeks. Odysseus and his man were sailing back home at one point.Aeolus gives them a bag of winds. His men are curious what is in the bag, so Odysseus tells them not to open the bag. His men do not listen to him so they open it and it takes them the other way. The only thing that was wrong was his men.Odysseus was always there for his men. One part in the story was that he and his men when they were sailing they approach the island of the lovely sirens. Odysseus was aware of what was going to happen so he covered his men's ears with beeswax and bind them to the mast of his ship. Sadly, the heads of Scylla swoops down and gobble up 6 of the sailors. This the only time where Odysseus couldn't do anything. Odysseus is a goo leader bacause he knows whats right from wrong and his people look up to him like if he was their father. This is why I think Odysseus is a good leader.

Poseidon is a powerful competitive man. It was better to stay on his good side or else he will take revenge to those who anger him. He spent eight years punishing Odysseus for blinding the one-eye son cyclops. He caused earthquakes,storms at the sea and throwing gigantic sea monsters in his way. His name meant "husband of the Earth". He was worshipped as a fertility god. Hades drew the underworld, Poseidon won the ocean, and Zeus the heavens, making him the supreme ruler. They all agreed to share the power of the earth but Poseidon had the biggest responsibility. Zeus proved to be an arrogant ruler and everyone was displeased with his performance. Poseidon recruited others to overthrow the government. Poseidon was expeled from his home as punishment He and Apollo were sentenced to one year of manual labor. They had to build the great wall around Troy. The king of Troy had promised to pay the gods with vines of gold when they were done, but he failed and didnt keep his word.Poseidon was really upset so to punish the city he sent a sea monster but it was killed by hercules. Poseidon and Zeus had numerous affairs and a large number of children resulted from their conspiracy.

He usually made an effort to seduce her or by trickery. Poseidon always used his outright physical force to get his way. Poseidon managed to fall in love with Amphitrite when he saw her dancing. He approached her with the same method. She hid herself from him at the bottom of the sea. Poseidon realized that he lost someone special. He looked everywhere for her but he couldn't find her so his friend Delphinus volunteered to find her.

Poseidon is a strong man. He keeps his word he doesn't let anything get in his way. He has his powers to get things the way he wants to. He isn't a guy who lets other feelings or anything to control him. He keeps everything his way.

The bag of wind. Melissa Vargas

Odysseus' encountered with Aeolus and the situation leading up to the accident involving Aeolus's bag of wind, was that Aeolus handed the bag of wind to Odysseus of every other direction but West where their home Ithaca was located. His men, known as the Achaeans had curiousity of what was in the bag. Odysseus told his men not to open up the bag. He didn't give them any reason not to but they wanted to know what was in it. They were close to Ithaca which wasn't far where they were at that time. The Achaeans opended the bag and it blew them far away from Ithaca and pushed them to Aeaea, Circe Island. When they got there, Odysseus asks Circe for the way back to Ithaca. She says he must sail to Hades, the realm of the dead, to speak with the spirit. A couple men were turned into pigs by the witch Circe.

Odysseus and his men are the blame for this incident because they opened the bag when told not to. Odysseus has the blame also because he only told his men not to open the bag and he should of gave them a reason why not to. If Odysseus was more clear, then nothing would of happened. Since they did open the bag, they thought it was important to open it even though they were told not. I say that if they where all in the boat and they all were going home, his demands needed to be said clear and work as one team that their way home could of turned out well. His men need to listen because he is the leader.
